Allgem Special Order Terms & Conditions

Special Orders 

A 50% deposit must be paid for all special orders. Special orders include custom/special makes, remakes, and custom orders for gemstone, chain, bangle, and wedding band orders. Allgem Jewellers will only begin manufacturing when minimum of 50% of the agreed quoted price has been received in-store. Title to and property of the goods will not pass to the Customer until the purchase price has been paid in full.

 

Client Supplied Stones

Any stone(s) supplied by the client will undergo a mandatory gemmological analysis and valuation to determine their retail replacement value. A fee of AUD $100 will be charged for this service.

Insuring the stone(s) is optional at an added fee of 10% of the total assessed value of the stone(s). This fee covers potential repair or replacement costs of the stone(s) in the event that the stone(s) are damaged or lost while in the care of Allgem Jewellers.

Allgem Jewellers will not be held liable for repair or replacement costs of uninsured stone(s) in the event that the stone(s) are damaged or lost while in their care.

The client acknowledges, understands, and accepts that there are risks associated with setting their supplied stone(s).

 

Exchanges

Allgem Jewellers does not offer exchanges or credit notes on special orders. Once the 50% deposit is paid towards a special order, the transaction is final. We do not buy-back special orders or purchases in-store as we do not retain a second-hand license.

 

Cancellation

Once the deposit has been received in-store. Allgem Jewellers will commence sourcing & manufacturing components for the special order.

Should you request to cancel the special order:

Allgem Jewellers may, at its sole discretion, elect to withhold the 50% deposit paid to cover their costs. Upon termination of a special order the goods may be returned to stock and the customer will have no claim to the goods.

 

Refunds & Returns

Allgem Jewellers is not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

You may be eligible for a refund if a product(s) has a major problem, which may include but is not limited to:

     – A defect or issue that would have stopped someone buying the product(s) had they    

        known about it

     – The product(s) is unsafe

     – The product(s) is significantly different from the sample or description

If we determine that the issue with the product(s) is minor, we will repair the item within a reasonable timeframe. If we are unable to repair the product(s) within a reasonable timeframe, you may choose a replacement or to have it refunded.

Refunds will only be made to the payment method used for the original purchase.

 

Warranties

Allgem Jewellers offers a 24-month limited jewellery warranty for quality and workmanship from the date of collection and will be replaced or repaired upon assessment. We do not offer additional care plans or insurance.

Our product(s) come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, and the customer is entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure of the item. You are also entitled to have the product(s) repaired or replaced if the product(s) fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty does not extend to loss, theft or damage contributed to, or as a result of an “accident”, “negligence”, “fair wear and tear” or “Act of God”.  Jewellery items should be maintained as per our product aftercare outline and should be brought in once a year for an inspection.
